The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County announced a construction project taking place soon at one of its branches.
Starting May 1, the Poland Library will undergo a minor construction project aiming to refresh and spruce up the space for the community.
Library closing on May 1, reopening on May 8
Crews will be replacing the carpet, painting, updating the overall look inside the library. Planning for construction starts in May, then the actual construction will start in June and take several weeks.
The library will be closed until May 8. They’ll reopen in a limited capacity in the lower-level meeting room.
Patrons can browse a limited collection, request materials from other branches, pick up materials on hold, return books, sign-up for our Summer Reading program and register for a library card.
The Friends of the Library Bookstore will also remain open during the project.
After May 8, the Poland Library will continue operating at a limited capacity until construction is done, which is expected to be sometime later this summer.
The library is located at 311 S Main St in Poland. They’re open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
