NBA champion visits Youngstown East High School during trip to Mahoning Valley
Some of the high school students attending East High School in Youngstown had the chance to meet a basketball legend.
NBA champion Metta Sandiford-Artest recently stopped by East High School to meet and greet with the boys’ basketball team.
He was in the Mahoning Valley to speak as a mental health advocate at the Unmute the Uncomfortable Conference.
Metta encouraged the students to focus on education as well as putting their mental health first.
He also wished the East High School Golden Bears continued success for their season.
