The Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport files proposal for air service to Chicago

The Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport filed a request with the U.S. Department of Transportation on Friday seeking financial support for connecting airline service via O’Hare International airport in Chicago.

The proposal was filed by Western Reserve Port Authority board Executive Director Anthony Trevena.

The airport last had commercial aviation service with Allegiant Air in January 2018 and lost its “primary airport” status with the Federal Aviation Administration.
