On the first Wednesday of every month, aspiring writers and readers get inspired at Lit Youngstown’s free author appreciation and reading event.

Authors and poets are invited from across the United States to read their work out loud and meet with readers at the event at Westside Bowl.

The next First Wednesday Reader Series is happening July 5 at 7 p.m. in the lower level Trophy Room at the Westside Bowl on Mahoning Avenue.

Ana Torres co-hosts the event and invites people to participate in an open mic night at the end.
