Kool and the Gang honored with first star on downtown Youngstown’s Walk of Fame

The legends of Youngstown will be commemorated and remembered for years with a Hollywood-level honor, their names written forever on the Youngstown Walk of Fame.

Youngstown’s own Kool & the Gang will be honored as the first star plaque on the city’s newest attraction.

They’ll get to see their star on the local Walk of Fame at a special ceremony July 1.

Where is the ‘Youngstown Walk of Fame?’

The commemoration starts at 1 p.m. on the sidewalk next to/under Market Street Bridge in Wean Park.

The ceremony is free and open to the public.

You can also see Kool and the Gang perform live the same night at 7:30 p.m. at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheater.
