Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are our top five picks:

Penguin City Carnival

It’s been five years since Penguin City Brewing Company revitalized an out-of-works warehouse into a bustling brewery in downtown Youngstown.

They’re celebrating this milestone with a community carnival throughout the weekend in the brewery’s parking lot.

Check out family-friendly carnival rides, games, and food every day this weekend starting at noon.

Neighborhood Block Party

Check out the fifth annual Neighborhood Block Party at 4-11 p.m. this Saturday at the B&O Station in Youngstown.

Vendors will sell food from 4 - 8 p.m., and live music starts at 6 p.m.

Bands hitting the stage include Madame Marlowe, Unc D, Spirit of the Bear and more.

Tickets are $10 for pre-sale online, while day-of tickets are $15, with a third of each ticket sale going to the musicians.

Read Youngstown Live’s Who You’ll See at The Block Party for a complete list of bands and vendors with gluten-free and vegan options.

Panerathon

This weekend, the Mahoning Valley supports local breast cancer patients with some family-friendly competition.

Register to run in the Panerathon on Sunday.

The 10-K race starts at 10 a.m., and the two-mile begins at 10:05 a.m. Day-of registration begins at 8 a.m.

All the money from runners and sponsors at Panerathon goes directly to the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center, part of Mercy Health in Youngstown.

The event is hosted by the Covelli Centre in downtown Youngstown.

Wok on the Wild Side
