COVID-19 hospitalizations increase in Mahoning, Trumbull counties
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the rate of newly reported COVID-19 infections has decreased in the U.S. However, people are still being hospitalized for the virus.
Reports indicate hospitalizations for COVID-19 have increased by seven percent in the last week, but the percentage of the region’s population reporting positive for COVID-19 is still low, around 12 percent total.
Like the slight decrease nationwide, there has also been a negative one percent change in the last week of people reporting they tested positive in the region.
Here’s a county-by-county list of cases per 100,000 residents in the last two weeks in Ohio.
