Youngstown State University
A whole new look is coming to one of the main hubs of activity at Youngstown State University, thanks to a gift from Jocelyne Kollay Linsalata.
YSU Global Trustee Jocelyne Kollay Linsalata gifted $325,000 to the Zoldan Family Student Center Campaign, which will replace the Kilcawley Center.
Kilcawley Center was built in the mid-1960’s for YSU students to study between classes, meet with friends and grab a bite to eat from the food courts.
Many students also live in Kilcawley House dorms connected to Kilcawley Center.
The renovation is projected to be $45 million.
According to the Youngstown Foundation, the Zoldan Family Student Center will be built on the current site of Kilcawley Center with an updated food court, as well as meeting rooms and offices for student organizations.
