Litter League: Youngstown receives $5,000 to start citywide cleanup
The Youngstown Health District received $5,000 from the state’s Environmental Protection Agency to host a citywide anti-litter campaign.
It’s called “Litter League;” the funds will be used for clean-ups around the city of Youngstown and programs about proper litter control.
“I certainly want my children, and other kids in Youngstown, to learn more about what they can do to improve the environment,” said Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown). “I look forward to hearing more about the event the city will put on with this grant funding and hope we can participate.”
The $5,000 was granted from the Ohio EPA’s Environmental Education Fund.
