12-year-old boy killed in Youngstown car crash; police looking for more information
The Youngstown Police Department is looking into the cause of a fatal car crash that killed a 12-year-old this morning.
Police officers were called to a two-car crash that happened after 9 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Alameda and Juanita Avenues in Youngstown.
Reports say four people were transported by emergency personnel to Mercy Health for treatment.
Officials say a 12-year-old male was pronounced dead shortly after getting to the hospital.
The three other occupants were treated and are currently in stable condition.
YPD is asking anyone with information about the crash to call (330) 742-8929 or Crime Stoppers at (330) 746-CLUE.
Reports say a potential suspect in the investigation is a 30-year-old male, but police aren’t releasing any more information at this time.
