Man wanted in Warren shooting captured in Florida
The U.S. Marshals Service has announced that its marshals has arrested Noel Flores, 19, who was hiding in St. Petersburg, Fla. Flores has been wanted by Warren police for the murder of Ashante Kirksey.
The announcement stated the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force learned where Flores was hiding through sources.
And on Dec. 5, Flores was arrested by the Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force at an apartment with a 9mm firearm being recovered during the arrest, a report stated.
Flores is in custody in St. Petersburg and will be given to chance to waive the extradition process in a court. Ohio authorities are expected to bring him back to Ohio to face the felony murder charges.
CrimeStoppers of Greater Mahoning Valley and the marshals service were offering a cash reward for information leading to Flores’ capture.
Ashante Fisher-Kirksey, 26, was found shot to death early on Nov. 11 when officers responded to the 900 block of Francis Avenue SE to a call about gunshots heard.
Kirksey had four children, who police believe were home at the time of the shooting.
