Warren man gets life sentence for rape of a 4-year-old boy

Michael A. Dunham, 26, of Highland Court SW, Warren, pleaded guilty Monday before Judge Cynthia Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to a first-degree rape charge and was sentenced to a life prison sentence with the first chance at parole coming after he serves 15 years.

The victim in the case was a boy who is now age 6, but was 4-years-old at the time the rape occurred on Aug. 17, 2021, according to information from the Trumbull County Children Services Agency.

Rice also labeled Dunham a Tier 3 sex offender, which means if he is released from prison, he must register his address with the local sheriff’s office four times per year for the rest of his life.
