A 36-year-old Girard woman reported to deputies that her purse was stolen out of her vehicle while she was visiting her mother-in-law in Newton Falls for Christmas dinner about 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 25.

The woman told deputies she thought she locked the vehicle.

When she got back inside it, she noticed her purse was gone. Inside the purse was a debit card, driver’s license, car and work keys and a social security card along with miscellaneous items.

The deputies contacted a neighbor on Tioga Street who had a security camera and the neighbor said he would review the footage to see if the thief would be identified.
