Boardman police: 30-year-old Youngstown resident identified in fatal shooting

Boardman Chief of Police Todd Werth provided an update on the investigation into a fatal shooting that happened over the first weekend of 2024.

The Boardman Police Department identified the victim as 30-year-old Michael Kosarich.

Kosarich, who’s from Youngstown, died in shooting around 2 a.m. on Saturday in the area of Indianola and Market Street in Boardman.

Police reports said he’d been shot several times.

The Boardman Fire Department, police department and Lanes Ambulance helped out at the scene.

Boardman police and BCI are investigating the shooting.
