Local friends open Blo Blow Dry Bar of Canfield, second location based in Ohio
Local entrepreneurs, moms and friends in Mahoning County are taking on new titles as co-owners and operators of a brand new location for a franchise hair salon.
They own the newest salon which opened this week in Canfield offering appointments for hair styling, treatments, makeup and blowouts.
Owners Lisa Henn and Evangela Hazimihalis and the team at Blow Dry Bar Canfield are ready to give walk-in customers “runway-ready hair.”
It’s the second Blo Blow Dry Bar location opened in Ohio; there will be an official grand opening Jan. 20 with giveaways and promotional deals.
“Evangela and I have talked a lot about how hard it is to do our own hair for events,” said Henn. “Whether someone is getting their hair done for a wedding, work event, school dance or just to get out of the house for a self-care day, we want them to feel beautiful and confident after an appointment at Blo Blow Dry Bar. If we can make that happen, then we have succeeded.”
Henn and Hazimihalis want people of all ages, ethnicities and orientations to feel welcomed and represented while emphasizing the need for self-care and wellness.
They said they know how difficult it can be to do hair at home.
As business partners, their ultimate goal was to own a place where women could walk in and get their hair done with no stress involved.
There’s a special deal for single blowout at $34 starting today through Feb. 11.
The new bar will offer a founder’s rate for its signature Mane Squeeze Membership that includes two blowouts a month for $75, $5 off each additional blow out and 10% off retail.
Blo Canfield is located in the Ironwood Commons at 4559 Boardman Canfield Road in unit 810 B. They’re in between Ghossains and Dave’s Cosmic Subs on the back entry side of the building.
