5 apply for special election to replace Bill Johnson in U.S. House of Representatives

The Mahoning County Board of Elections released the names of the five people who will run for Bill Johnson’s U.S. House of Representatives 6th District role.

The primary election will be held March 19 with the presidential primary while a general election for the seat will follow on June 11.

Johnson is resigning from the U.S. House of Representatives seat on Sunday. He will take over as president of Youngstown State University on Monday.
