Friends of Fido Valentine’s Day fundraiser

At the Mahoning County Dog Warden, a special fundraiser is happening to help sick and injured animals get the veterinary care they need in the new year. They need a total of $15,000 for all the different treatments.

The Friends of Fido is a local organization that helps find financial support for the Mahoning County Dog Warden.

This month and in February, they’re raising money by selling Valentine’s Day cards and messages for pet owners to show their pets some love.

For a $20 donation, the Friends of Fido will place a heart outside in front of the building for the donor with their Valentines’ name on it.

You can drop off your donation in person or by donating through the Friends of Fido Facebook page.

Once you’ve made your $20 donation, let Friends of Fido know whose name you want on the card either in person or by commenting on the Facebook post.

You can also send $1 donation directly to the dog warden’s office to give a gift to the animals in the shelter.

Mail a Valentine’s Day card to P.O. Box 2963 in Youngstown and a $1 donation for the dogs and cats.

All proceeds go towards the veterinary bills for the animals at the Mahoning County Dog Warden.

So far, they’ve raised over $2,000 for procedures.
