Mahoning County Deputy Dog Warden
There’s a position currently open at the Mahoning County Dog Warden for a deputy dog warden that pays $17 per hour with benefits.
The deputy dog warden is in charge of rabies vaccinations, handling stray animals and caring for all of the animals in the kennels.
The dog wardens also investigate dog bites and any animal claims in the county with the Mahoning County Health Department.
Since there are often emergencies after-hours, the deputy dog warden has to be on-call for shifts and may be required to work weekends and holidays to cover shifts.

Qualifications for the job include three years of experience in animal control, law enforcement or as a veterinarian. You’ll also need a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license.
The county offers medical, dental, hearing and vision coverage.
Youngstown City Schools hosting bus driver hiring event
There’s a nationwide shortage of bus drivers, and Youngstown City Schools needs a few new bus drivers to help safely transport students to and from school within the district.
They’re hosting a bus driver hiring fair at 10 a.m. Feb. 17 at Choffin Career and Technical Center, located at 200 E Wood St. in Youngstown.
Drivers earn $24 an hour; the district offers medical insurance options.
Candidates must be over 21 and meet several requirements, including passing screening tests and a drug test.
Candidates who don’t have their Commercial Driver’s License but are interested in applying for the job can get the license through a 30-day program offered by the district.

Youngstown Police Department hiring full, part-time clerks
The Youngstown Police Department is hiring police clerks who can work both full-time and part-time.
Salaries start at $32,886, and you have to live in Mahoning county or in an adjacent county to be considered for the job.
Applications are only being accepted online now until 4 p.m. Feb. 14 on the city of Youngstown website.
Some of the minimum requirements for the job include a high school diploma and at least one year of experience working with computers.
Clerks will have to learn the rules and regulations of the police department, as well as learn about L.E.A.D.S. and N.C.I.C.

Police clerks help in different parts of the department, including transcribing reports, entering data on L.E.A.D.S. and running criminal history checks for officers.
