The following cases were handled Monday before Judge Cynthia Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court:

  • Erica Williams 38, of Mayburn Barclay Road in Farmdale received an 180-day jail sentence, 100 hours of community service and three years basic probation after pleading guilty to a single felony count of attempted endangering children. The case involved a report of physical abuse of a teenager investigated by sheriff deputies last November. A woman reported that the adopted teen daughter in the home had been communicating on social media that her parents had been holding her head underwater. The teen told the judge the episode has left her disoriented and she deals with flashbacks. She said she has been placed in another home. The Williamses related to deputies and their attorneys that the act was characterized as discipline for the girl. The defendant’s spouse, Dennis Williams, 47, is set to be sentenced Feb. 21 on a misdemeanor conviction.
  • Kevin L. Streeter, 35, of North Street, Warren, received a seven-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to a pair of fifth-degree drug possession felonies. The prison term will be served at the same time of a seven-month prison sentence for violation of a parole in a 2022 drug conviction case. The latest charge stemmed from a traffic stop April 6, 2023, made by Warren police where cocaine and methamphetamine were found on Streeter.
