Youngstown man accused of creating disturbances at downtown WRTA bus station
A 29-year-old Youngstown man was taken into custody and charged with aggravated trespassing and menacing after a couple of disturbances Thursday at the WRTA Bus Station on West Federal Street in downtown Youngstown.
Marquis R. Cambridge was taken to Mahoning County Jail and faces charges in Youngstown Municipal Court and two police reports stated he was threatening people, ripping signs off the wall and trying to fight others at the bus station.
The second call stated that the man had an open container of alcohol was urinating on cars and opening doors of vehicles, the report states.
When officers arrived on the scene, they reportedly talked to a security guard who tried to keep Cambridge from boarding a bus, which caused an altercation.
When officers spotted Cambridge, the man tried to run away, the report stated, finally being cornered in the courtyard of the nearby DeYor center.
Officers earlier on Thursday were called to the 600 block of West LaClede Avenue on the South Side to investigate a report of gunfire. Officers canvassed the area and found 34 spent 9mm casings., however they could find no suspects.
