Blake McCormick, 22, of Blair Drive, Warren, pleaded guilty to a 15-count indictment dealing with downloading child pornography.

McCormick pleaded guilty to eight counts of pandering sex-oriented material involving a minor and seven counts illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performances. All the charges are second-degree felonies that carry a maximum eight-year prison sentences, with the first one carrying a maximum indefinite eight- to 12-year term.

Blake McCormick will be sentenced after a background investigation

McCormick will be sentenced by Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Andrew D. Logan after he undergoes a background investigation conducted by the probation department. He will also be labeled a Tier 2 sexual offender which will require him to register with the sheriff’s office twice per year for 25 years.

According to reports, McCormick was downloading the child pornography onto his cellphone. A search warrant was used to garner evidence against McCormick, prosecutors said.
