Police, EMTs and firefighters from Trumbull County rescued a driver trapped inside a car after crashing off Ohltown McDonald Road.

Police said the crash happened before 10 p.m. Sunday in Weathersfield Township.

The Weathersfield police and fire departments, Lane LifeTRANS, Ohio State Patrol, C&C Towing and Trumbull County 911 assisted with the rescue, according to police.

First responders removed the roof of the vehicle to safely get the trapped driver out of the car using rescue tools.

According to the Weathersfield Fire Department, they used a tool called Jaws of Life to cut the roof and safely help the driver out.

The driver had minor injuries and didn’t go to the hospital, according to police.
