15 face felony indictments from Mahoning County grand jury

Fifteen people were indicted Feb. 29 by a Mahoning County grand jury.

The following felony cases will be arraigned in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court:

  • Terrance C. May, 48, in care of Mahoning County jail, aggravated murder (unclassified) w/firearm specification; murder (unclassified) w/firearm specification; having weapons while under disabilility (f3);

  • Jules L. Freeman, 21, New Philadelphia, murder (unclassified) w/ firearm specification; involuntary manslaughter (f1) w/firearm specification; discharge of firearm on or near prohibted premises (f1) w/firearm specification; felonious assault (f2) w/firearm specification; trafficking in cocaine (f5) w/firearm specification;

  • Alvin J. Jackson, 35, Hubbard Road, Youngstown, felonious assault (f2);

  • Gary Mills, 54, in care of Mahoning County jail, violating a proptection order (f5);

  • Ronald S. Rollins, 56, in care of Mahoning County Jail, domestic violence (f3);

  • Austin W. Beatty, 24, Matta Avenue, Youngstown, superseding indictment, felonious assault (f2) w/ drive-by and gun specifications; discharge of firearm on or near prhobited premises (f3) w/ drive-by and gun specifications, two counts, criminal damaging or endangering (m1).

  • Rebecca E. Wetherill, 23, Westview, Boardman, superseding indictment, felonious assault (f2) w/ drive-by and gun specifications; discharge of firearm on or near prhobited premises (f3) w/ drive-by and gun specifications, two counts, criminal damaging or endangering (m1).

  • Timothy L. Kolat, 63, Gray Avenue, Youngstown, breaking and entering (f5);

  • James M. Riley, 73, Bott Street, Youngstown, breaking and entering (f5);

  • Taquan M. Williams, 23, Tyrell Avenue, Youngstown, carrying a concealed weapon (f4), aggravated menacing (m1), assault (m1);

  • Douglas Curtis Jones, 71, Stewart Avenue, Youngstown, possession of fentanyl-related compound (f5) w/specification; aggravated possession of drugs (f5) w/specification; possession of drugs (m1) w/specification;

  • Joshua L. Mahone, 19, Woodside Avenue, Youngstown, felonious assault (f2) w/firearm specification;

  • Paul B. Downing, 40, Homestead Drive, Boardman, receiving stolen property (f5), misuse of credit cards (f5) and theft (f5);

  • Brittany Thomas, 35, in care of Mahoning County Jail, theft (f5);

  • Jared Weatherspoon, 39, in care of Mahoning County Jail, two counts, foregery (f5).
