Yellow Brick Place Cancer Wellness Center and Man Up Mahoning Valley are joining forces to promote men’s health screenings and cancer prevention in Warren.

The Mercy Health Foundation of Mahoning Valley sponsors education and awareness campaigns for the area through a program called Man Up Mahoning Valley. Their goals include spreading awareness for prostate cancer prevention.

Yellow Brick Place Cancer Wellness Center is also located in the Youngstown area. They provide free, non-medical support, like wigs and therapy, to cancer patients.

The two organizations are hosting Men’s Night Out this Wednesday at Leo’s Ristorante in Warren.

Doors open for the event at 5:30 p.m. before dinner at 6 p.m.

Doctors and healthcare experts from the area like Lawrence J. Moliterno, president and CEO of Meridian HealthCare, will be answering questions and giving advice.

Urologists Dr. Vince Ricchiuti and Dr. Dan Ricchiuti will be discussing ways to prevent prostate cancer and how to manage pain.

They’ll be joined by clinical researcher Cathy Engartner and Dr. Patrick Brine, who is in internal medicine.

Even though it says men in the title of the event, women are more than welcome to attend.

Registrations are required to attend Men’s Night Out; to RSVP, call (330) 480-2763.
