Boardman police were dispatched to the first block of McArthur Drive at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday morning in response to a 911 call involving an unconscious man down in the driveway.

According to the police report, officers arrived on the scene with the Boardman Fire Department to find an elderly white man lying on his left side in the driveway directly in front of the garage. He was bleeding from a wound on his forehead which he apparently sustained when he fell, the report states.

The report states that a Nissan Rogue was parked in the garage with the rear hatch opened and a gab of golf clubs sitting on the bumper.

According to the report, The Fire Department personnel advised that the man was still warm, but there were no signs of breathing or a pulse. The Police then spoke to the man’s wife, who was sleeping inside the residence and advised of her husband’s situation. She stated that she had last seen him the previous night when he went to bed, the report states. The only medical condition she could advise about her husband was that he had open heart surgery a couple of years ago.

According to the report, Lanes Ambulance arrived on the scene and transported the man to Mercy Hospital in Boardman.
