Here’s what we know about First Fridays this summer in Youngstown

As the weather warms up, the city’s once again preparing to kick off monthly community get-togethers on the first Friday of each month in the summer.

The First Friday season starts at 4 p.m. on May 3 around the Phelps Street Gateway in downtown Youngstown.

Residents can come out for live music on a few stages, local food, entertainment, line dancing lessons and art exhibits at First Friday.

Hear music from local artists Dave Lynn and Caitlin Hedge during the festival on the 330 Stage which will be set up near Golden String Radio.

RDNA is headlining Party on the Lawn at 8 p.m. at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheater.

Two days after First Friday, festivities continue with the city’s first Cinco de Mayo celebration on May 5.

It’s a celebration of culture, cuisine and music in Mexico starting at 1 p.m. in downtown Youngstown, organized by Thrive Mahoning Valley.
