Sixth accuser emerges in sexual assault accusations against former Warren police officer
A Trumbull County grand jury returned an indictment on Tuesday over an accusation by a sixth woman saying a former Warren police officer assaulted her last year.
Michael Edwards now faces seven first-degree felony rape charges with a firearm specification, five fourth-degree felony charges of gross sexual imposition, three third-degree felony charges with sexual battery with a firearm specification, two third-degree felony charges of extortion and two charges each of fifth-degree felony theft in office, fourth-degree charges of menacing by stalking, fifth-degree sexual imposition with firearm specification.
Edwards will be in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday afternoon.
