Theft of life-size Freddy Krueger mannequin in Boardman investigated
It may have not been a nightmare on Elm Street, but Boardman police were dispatched at 9:52 a.m. on April 26 to a parking lot in the 100 block of Mathews Road to investigate the report of the theft of a life-size Freddy Krueger mannequin.
According to a Boardman police report, an officer met the owner who stated that someone went over the barbed wire fence on the property and stolen his mannequin which was inside a phone booth at the northwest corner of the parking lot. The suspect must have unhooked a section of the barbed wire to climb the fence, the report states. The mannequin was dressed in a red/green sweater with dark pants and a brown/black fedora. Police officers stated there was not any security cameras on the property.
