Youngstown City School District plans events to fight human trafficking

On May 15 at 5:30 p.m. Price Memorial AME Zion Church You Matter Program, in partnership with Youngstown City Schools presents Barbara Freeman, CEO, Director of the Freeman Project, a non-profit organization with the purpose to lead women out of the darkness and bondage of sexual exploitation into the light of life that includes self-sufficiency and progressive living.

The Youngstown City School DIstrict will hold the following two community events to help fight human trafficking.

May 15 community event

On May 15 at 5:30 p.m. Price Memorial AME Zion Church You Matter Program, in partnership with Youngstown City Schools presents Barbara Freeman, CEO, Director of the Freeman Project, a non-profit organization with the purpose to lead women out of the darkness and bondage of sexual exploitation into the light of life that includes self-sufficiency and progressive living.

District event on May 16

Youngstown City Schools families can join Parent Pathways on May 16 at East High School starting at 4:30 p.m. for visitors to stop by and learn more about area summer programs. Information will also be given about safety awareness, human trafficking, and gun safety. There will be giveaways, including gun safety locks on a first come first serve basis.
