Austintown finishes expansions on ‘newly revitalized’ Austintown Township Park
Austintown residents can now enjoy a revitalized park with brand new facilities as the Austintown Township Park expansion project has been completed.
The park celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday to celebrate the achievement. The new park boasts expanded facilities and various recreational opportunities, including walking trails, sports fields, and playgrounds.
The project was funded by the Capital Budget with generous contributions from the Austintown Rotary Club. The park now has a newly renamed pavilion area called the “Austintown Rotary Picnic Area” in their honor.
Ohio State Representative Al Cutrona was present at the ribbon, along with Austintown Trustees and other local officials and community members.
“My main focus over the past few years was to ensure the Valley has the funds necessary to continue to grow and thrive. The funding secured for this park is just another example of the ways we can continue to improve our way of life in this community,” Cutrona said.
Austintown Trustee Robert Santos also attended and thanked Representative Cutrona, Ohio State Senator Rulli and the Austintown Rotary for their support on the expansion project.
“Their dedication to our community and their unwavering commitment to this project have been instrumental in its success,” Santos said.
Austintown Township Park is now open to the public, inviting the community to explore and enjoy the newly expanded facilities.
