A driver who was wanted on a warrant for a 2022 road rage incident on Boardman- Poland Road was arrested on May 24.

The driver, Oleg A. Manko, 37, of Meadowbrook Avenue, Boardman, was involved in a second road rage investigated by police about 3 p.m. on May 24 in which he was the reported victim.

He pleaded not guilty on May 28 to a first-degree aggravated menacing misdemeanor before Judge Joseph House of Mahoning County Court in Boardman. His bond was set at $2,500.

Manko was also ordered to have no contact with the victims in the Dec. 1, 2022, road rage incident where he was accused of cutting off a vehicle on U.S. Route 224 in his Nissan Rogue.

The victims in that incident stated that he exited the vehicle, began yelling at them and retrieved a handgun from his vehicle. He then unholstered it and pointed it at them. After Manko was identified by the police, a warrant was issued for him.

He was caught in another incident on May 24, 2024 at 3:06 p.m. Manko was driving the same Rogue when he was approached by officers in a conflict with a female in a Toyota RAV4 at the intersection of Meadowbrook Avenue and Southern Boulevard, according to a report.

Manko told police he honked the horn at the Toyota while the traffic signal was yellow, saying he wanted her to proceed through the light and was upset that she did not. The woman, according to the report, admitted to yelling at Manko, but she said she didn’t threaten him.

During the investigation of this road rage report, the officers learned about the warrant for Manko’s arrest and arrested him.

Court records show that Manko’s next court date before Judge Houser is June 11.
