Hubbard woman pleads guilty after stealing opioids from nursing home

A woman recently pleaded guilty in the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court for stealing opioids from a nursing home.

Krista Oltmann, 40, of North Main Street in Hubbard, pleaded guilty to an 11-count indictment, charging her with four counts of theft of drugs, four counts illegal processing of drug documents and three counts of forgery.

Oltmann, a former worker at three Trumbull County nursing home facilities was charged with stealing the opioids Percocet, Oxycontin and Norco, and altering the pharmaceutical logs at these facilities.

The case was investigated by the Trumbull County sheriff’s office and the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, prosecutors said. Oltmann will be sentenced after undergoing a background check by probation officers.
