West Branch ranked on top of Mahoning Matters girls’ Super 7 rankings
West Branch maintains the No. 1 spot in the mahoningmatters.com Super 7 girls’ basketball poll for a second consecutive week.
The Warriors are 13-2 on the season and won a piece of the Eastern Buckeye Conference championship last week with their 59-35 win over Alliance.
The Warriors are also 10th in the state Division II girls’ basketball poll.
Crestview
Unbeaten Crestview climbs to No. 2 in this week’s poll.
The Rebels, who have been a picture of consistency, are a perfect 18-0 on the campaign and are coming off a 60-14 rout of Brookfield.
Boardman
The Boardman Spartans are No. 3 in the poll following impressive wins over powers Howland and Canfield last week.
The Spartans are 11-4.
Austintown Fitch
The Austintown Fitch Falcons check in at No. 4 this week.
The Falcons are 11-4 on the campaign and have beaten some of the best teams in the valley this winter.
Howland
The Howland Tigers are No. 5 in this week’s Super 7 poll.
The Tigers routed Marlington 55-39 in their most recent game.
Warren JFK
Warren JFK has been impressive all season.
The Eagles sport an 11-3 ledger and defeated Mogadore 66-56 in its most recent outing.
Springfield Local
Springfield Local is ranked No. 7 in the poll.
The Tigers, who reached the state tournament last season, are 12-5 overall on the season and a perfect 9-0 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference.
