Youngstown community members will rally to stop violence in the city and remember those killed during gun violence.

Organized by United Pastors, Clergy and Community Leaders of Greater Youngstown Against the Violence, join the community for a prayer rally at 2 p.m. this Saturday.

The rally will take place at Martha’s Boulevard Tavern, located at 3503 Southern Boulevard on the south side, where 15-year-old Amya Monserrat was shot and killed by gunfire during a fight at the tavern.

People will start gathering at 1:30 p.m. in the tavern parking lot.

“We will be praying for peace for our city and against the violence that has infected our neighborhoods,” wrote Rev. Kenneth Simon in a media release.
