Lit Youngstown presents free readings as part of this week’s fall festival in Youngstown
This weekend, two reading sessions with authors are free and open to the public as part of Lit Youngstown’s Fall Literary Festival.
First, Fall Literary Fest’s featured author, Ross Gay, will read from his highly acclaimed essay and poetry collections.
The Youngstown native is reading at 7 p.m. this Friday at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Wick Avenue in Youngstown, with a book signing to follow.
In addition to the reading, The Reverie Movement Collective will perform interpretive dance numbers to two of Ross’s poems.
Then, on Saturday, head to the Penguin City Brewing Company in downtown Youngstown to hear more live readings.
Featured authors Jill Christman and Allison Stine are reading at 7 p.m. at Penguin City Brewing Company.
Both events are free, and there’s no registration requirement. Read more about the authors’ published works and Fall Literary Fest at Youngstown State University here.
