Columbiana County Drug Task Force: Wellsville man sentenced for drug trafficking
Dennis Byers, 37, has been sentenced to additional time in prison for drug trafficking, according to the Columbiana County prosecutor’s office.
The former Wellsville resident was convicted of two felony counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs and sentenced to six years in prison.
The Columbiana County Drug Task Force and investigators told prosecutors that Byers was trafficking drugs inside a house across the street from a school where juveniles were present.
The prosecutor said the six years Byers was sentenced for drug trafficking will run consecutively with the previous eleven years he received earlier this year.
That’ll bring his total prison term to 17 years.
Prosecutor Vito Abruzzino thanked his team and the Columbiana County investigators for their hard work.
