Boardman woman finds burglar in her bedroom, tells him to go away
A woman who lives on Parkland Avenue in Boardman Township encountered one of two burglars in her bedroom as she went to discover the noise upstairs shortly after 10 p.m. on April 10.

The Youngstown State football team wrapped up spring drills with a hard-hitting Red vs. White Game on Saturday morning at a windy Stambaugh Stadium. The White squad picked up a 21-7 win the contest that saw big plays by the offense and the defense.

The best season in the history of the Youngstown State bowling program came to an end in the semifinals of the National Championship event on Saturday at Thunderbowl Lanes.

A citizen from Canada was taken into police custody after he was accused of vandalizing an elevator in the lobby of the Double Tree Hotel on Central Square in downtown Youngstown.

Gary Brantley is the senior vice president and chief information officer for the National Football League. Gary and his brother, local attorney Bryan Brantley, announced their plans to give back to their hometown of Youngstown and establish a scholarship for local students at Youngstown State University.
