After May 8, the walks are happening every Wednesday, weather permitting until it gets too cold to walk.

Walk Wednesdays is a collaboration between Mercy Health’s Stepping Out program, The Healthy Community Partnership and Youngstown State University Campus Recreation.

Regularly exercising improves overall physical and mental health. According to organizers, it’s also a great way to promote using local park facilities that are often underused in local communities.

The city’s YO! App is also providing promo codes to walkers that participate which can be redeemed at 20 Youngstown businesses.
