A Youngstown man was given a 17-month prison sentence after receiving stolen property.

Joseph P. Shurtleff, 33, Thalia Avenue, Youngstown, was also ordered to pay $1,970 in restitution on felony convictions of misuse of credit cards, and two counts of receiving stolen property plus a misdemeanor of misuse of credit card.

Judge Sean J. O’Brien of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court said that Shurtleff was not amenable for probation because he rated high-risk to re-offend and also had a criminal history that included eight prior prison terms.
