Brookfield man pleads guilty to stabbing another man at least 12 times in the back

Travis Serotko, 32, of South Park Court, Brookfield, pleaded guilty to a second-degree felonious assault charge Tuesday before Judge Ronald J. Rice of the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court and will be sentenced after he undergoes a background investigation conducted by probation officers.

The plea offset a jury trial that was scheduled to start on Dec. 18.

Serotko was charged with the stabbing of a man during an altercation at a Brookfield home on Aug. 4, 2023.

Prosecutors stated Serotko stabbed the victim between 12 and 17 times in the back.
