Trumbull County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Dennis Garito, while on routine patrol, initiated a traffic stop along Atlantic Street in Warren about 3:45 a.m. Feb. 1 on a 2021 gray Jeep with Pennsylvania plates in violation of two traffic offenses - no working rear taillights or license plate light, according to a report and social media post by the sheriff’s office.

After speaking with the individuals inside the vehicle, the report stated dispatchers confirmed the driver, identified as Jason Orr, 46, of Girard, had an expired driver’s license and the passenger, identified as Robin O’Brien, 49, of Warren, had an active warrant out of Warren Municipal Court pertaining to a possession of heroin charge.

After detaining the woman, O’Brien admitted to the deputy of having drugs in her purse, the report stated.

A search produced 45 grams of suspected cocaine, 14 grams of suspected crack and an undetermined amount of suspected fentanyl.

All the drug evidence will be sent to the Ohio Bureau of Investigation for testing with charges pending the results of those tests.

The driver was cited for his traffic violations while the passenger was booked into the Trumbull County Jail for the warrant. The search also produced multiple needles, pipes and a scale and both occupants of the vehicle were issued summons for charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and possession drug abuse instruments.
