When will spring weather start in Youngstown Ohio and how warm will it get? Here’s the forecast
Buckeye Chuck, Ohio’s official groundhog, did not see his shadow this year, which means an early spring is coming.
But when will that be? And how warm will it get this spring in Youngstown?
Well, here’s what to know about the spring 2026 forecast:
When will spring weather come to Youngstown?
AccuWeather forecasters are predicting cold weather to stick around until mid-March, but after that, here’s what to expect:
- Mar. 10-15th: some rain turning to sunshine with highs around 55 and lows in the mid 30s.
- Mar. 16-20: some showers or morning snow is possible. Highs will be around 50 and lows around 31.
- Mar. 21-22: rainy with some snow
- Mar. 23-end of the month: turning a bit warmer, with highs around 56. Some clouds mixed with sun.
In April, however, warmer weather begins to set in; there are a couple of days in the beginning of the month that will have chances of snow, but towards mid-April, the highs will reach mid 60s. At the end of April, spring has sprung because highs will be around 71 with sun and mixed clouds.
How warm will it get this spring?
AccuWeather experts show April’s temperatures reaching to around 72, but what about May?
In May, Youngstown residents can expect spring temperatures to reach around 76 some days.
National Weather Service experts are predicting near normal temperatures, but above average rain for March, April and May.
