Youngstown teacher deal, man dies on Ohio 305, Brantley Gilbert at Canfield Fair
Good morning and welcome to your Morning Matters.
It’s Tuesday, April 16, 2024.
In today’s edition, I wanted to spotlight the Youngstown Education Association’s tentative contract with the Youngstown City School District. Both sides couldn’t reach a deal last year, which ended in a 31-day strike that frustrated both sides and more importantly hurt parents and students in the city. Thankfully, both sides avoided a second strike in two years by reaching a deal. Bravo to both sides for reaching a deal and avoiding conflict that would have hurt the city.Read 13 additional stories from the Mahoning Valley, region and state below.
